I’m a practicing Certified Physician Assistant, with specialties in Endocrinology and Nephrology. In my clinical practice, I’ve seen chronic disease states truly affect not only the patients, but their whole support system. After having my third child, I just knew something was “off”, yet every test and lab that I knew to be ran all came out “normal”. I did my own research and found myself an Integrative Functional Medicine doctor. Partnering with him, was one of the best things I did for myself and for patients. He taught me that there were non-conventional tests that probe deeper, as well as the importance of the concept “Individualized Medicine.” I took the ALCAT test, which is a comprehensive sensitivity and allergy panel, as well as a comprehensive stool analysis. While I’ve taken allergy tests before, and even went through a series of allergy shots, I found out I was sensitive to a whole slue of foods that I ate on a regular bases that would be considered “healthy” by most dietary systems. So while it was difficult, I decided I was done with feeling the way I was, and made drastic lifestyle and dietary changes. I found just eating food that nourished my body and addressing the needs of my body, completely and radically changed my health, my relationships, and my outlook in general. I had a firsthand encounter of what it meant by the saying “Food is Medicine.” I’ve taken back control of my health, not by medicating myself with conventional prescriptions that has a host of side effects, but by learning about my body, listening to it, and eating accordingly. It inspired me so much, that I decided I want to educate anyone who was interested in how to heal themselves and obtain wellness. I want to help you be an exceptional you, from the inside out. I want to help you change your wellness with a change of mind…”
